Our peaches are grown with great care on the sharp, gravelly loam soils in the “Heart of the Golden Acres” of Blenheim, Ontario. We are blessed with a temperate micro-climate as a result of the prevailing winds off the shores of Lake Erie that ensure full peach yields year after year.
For our processing facility we select only the fullest, and most ripe fruit directly from the tree, ensuring a full-bodied, fresh tasting product. Our equipment is thoroughly cleaned before and after processing and the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit periodically inspects our facility. We are also a Canada GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) Certified facility with On-Farm Food Safety Certification from the Guelph Food Technology Centre as a producer and packer of peaches.
The processing part of our operation uses approximately 10% of our total production of peaches. Peach fresh market sales take up another 10% with the remainder going to a processor in Michigan and, recently, another processor in Ontario.
Our goal is to provide a great-tasting and locally grown product, produced in an environmentally sustainable way for consumers who care about where their food comes from. We simply want to provide consumers with a local alternative to big brand foreign suppliers at a reasonable cost.
